Economy lending up in Kazakhstan

The value of bank’s lending to economy of Kazakhstan amounted to 12.907 trillion tenge in June, which is 1.2 percent more than in May, Trend reports with reference to the data of National Bank of Kazakhstan.

Thus, the value of lending to legal persons decreased by 0.4 percent and equaled 7.071 trillion tenge, whereas the value of physical persons loans increased by 3.1 percent and amounted to 5.835 trillion tenge.

Excluding the loans portfolio of banks under restructuring and those stripped of license, the annual increase of economy lending amounted to 12.1 percent or 1.3 trillion tenge.

“The value of tenge denominated loans increased by 2.5 percent and amounted to 10.592 trillion tenge. The value of legal persons loans here increased by 1.7 percent, whereas the value of physical persons loans decreased by 3.3 percent. In turn, the value of loans in foreign currency decreased by 4.8 percent to 2.314 trillion tenge. The value of loans in foreign currency to legal persons decreased by 4.9 percent, whereas the value lent to physical persons decreased by 3.2 percent,” the report said.

“The value of long-term loans increased by 0.5 percent in June and equaled 10.954 trillion tenge and the value of short-term loans increased by 5.2 percent to 1.953 trillion tenge,” the statement said.

The lending of small entrepreneurship ventures increased by 1.3 percent during the reporting period and stood at 2.257 trillion tenge, the report said.

The largest value of lending furthermore accounts for industry (14.1 percent of the total value), trade (13.5 percent), construction (5.3 percent) and transport (3.7 percent).
