UzAuto Motors (former GM Uzbekistan) has begun selling updated Malibu Facelift model with a 1.5 Turbo engine, Trend reports with reference to the company.
It will replace Malibu 2.5L in the Uzbek market and become its more technologically advanced and economical (30 percent) successor.
“The Malibu 1.5L Turbo is a beautiful and harmoniously folded sedan that has clear and graceful lines. The front-wheel drive car is about 100 kg lighter than its predecessor, while it has added about 12 cm in length. This effect was achieved thanks to the new turbo engine with a volume of only 1.5 l and power of 160 hp, "the company reported.
The cost of this model is five million soums cheaper than the previous one. It is most suitable for countries with a hot climate.
Furthermore, Malibu Turbo 2 L. with updated facelift is on sale as well. Deliveries of these models will begin in September 2019.
In May, the company presented new car models including Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Traverse and Chevrolet Trailblazer.
Currently, three UzAuto Motors sites produce ten models of cars under the Chevrolet and Ravon brands.
Models Matiz, Cobalt (R4), Lacetti (Gentra), Spark (R2), Nexia (R3) are produced at the main production site in Asaka, Tracker and Malibu models - at the branch in Tashkent, and Damas and Labo models at the Pitnak branch.
