Loans issued by Iran’s Keshavarzi Bank grow

During nine months (March 21-Dec. 21) of this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019), loans issued by Iran’s Keshavarzi Bank in Zanjan province increased by 18 percent compared to the same period last year, said Javad Samadi, the bank’s head, Trend reports via IRNA.

Samadi said that loans worth 8.3 billion rials (about $198,000) were issued in the mentioned period.

As a result of these loans, 29,310 people were employed, the bank’s head noted.

Samadi added that the loans were issued for various industrial sectors, agricultural machinery, greenhouses, new irrigation methods and other areas.

“This bank provides loans to SMEs in the industrial and agricultural sectors,” the head said.

Iran’s Keshavarzi Bank was established in 1933. The purpose of this bank is to support the agricultural sector and the related sectors. The bank has 1,817 branches.
