Supreme Council for Economic Coordination made a decision to support small businesses against the effects of coronavirus outbreak.
The latest meeting of the Supreme Council for Economic Coordination of the Three Branches was held in the President's Office on March 3, with the presence of high-ranking officials including members of the parliamentary commissions.
At the meeting, the country's latest economic developments and the budget were discussed.
Head of the Planning and Budget Organization Mohammad Baqer Nobakht delivered a report on the state of implementation of the anticipated budgetary resources and expenditures by the end of the Iranian year (March 21, 2020).
Governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Abdul Nasser Hemmati made a report on the effect of the Council's decisions on the currency market.
The Council also called CBI to continue implement measures to strengthen the supervision of banks and credit institutions and the fight against money laundering.
At the meeting, the effects of the outbreak of coronavirus on economic sectors of Iran were also considered.
It was proposed to provide additional support to production and service units as well as to small businesses that lost part of their income due to precautionary measures.
