Turkmenistan sees GDP growth

Turkmenistan's GDP increased by 5.8 percent from January through September, compared to the same period last year, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

This became known during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held via videoconference.

According to the results of the analysis of indicators for ministries and industry departments, the volume of products manufactured from January through September increased by 4.2 percent compared to the same period in 2019.

The volume of retail trade turnover increased by 19.4 percent in the reporting period compared to the corresponding period of 2019, and the average monthly wage increased by 10.4 percent at large and medium-sized enterprises.

The volume of disbursed investments from all sources of financing reached 22.2 billion Turkmen manat (over $6 billion).

As reported, Turkmenistan's GDP increased by 5.7 percent from January through July, compared to the same period last year.

The volume of retail trade turnover increased by 19.3 percent in the reporting period compared to the corresponding period of 2019, and the average monthly wage increased by 10.5 percent at large and medium-sized enterprises.
