Agrobank allocates loans for cotton picking machines in Uzbek regions

More than 400 cotton-picking machines have been delivered to the regions of Uzbekistan for the timely and high-quality cotton harvest, Trend reports referring to the press service of Agrobank JSCB.

Agrobank JSCB supports projects to grow agricultural products, ensure food security, and develop cotton growing in Uzbekistan.

Following the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the share of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development in the authorized capital of Agrobank JSCB will be increased by $50 million.

The funds will be used to allocate loans to cotton-textile clusters and other economic entities for the purchase of domestically produced cotton pickers at the main rate of the Central Bank.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Karakalpakstan Republic in Uzbekistan and deputies of regions and districts have formed a specific list of applicants for cotton pickers in the regions.

Agrobank JSCB allocated 435 billion soums ($42 million) of loans. More than 400 cotton-picking machines were delivered to Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Syrdarya, Tashkent, Navoi, Namangan, Samarkand regions of Uzbekistan for timely and high-quality cotton picking.

Cotton pickers machine will make work easier for farmers. Harvesting before the rainy days start will provide additional income for people and increase the cotton harvest.
