Iran’s Maskan Bank discloses amount of issued loans

The Bank Maskan of Iran issued loans worth 112 trillion rials (about $2.67 billion) for the construction and purchase of housing in the country during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2020), Executive Director of the bank, Mahmoud Shayan said, Trend reports citing the bank’s website.

According to Shayan, of this amount, 38.8 trillion rials (about $924 million) was issued to companies and individuals for construction of housing.

He added that as well as 73.3 trillion rials (about $1.75 billion) worth of loans were issued for the purchase of housing.

The director noted that in total, 16,300 loans were issued for purchase of housing and 73,300 loans for construction of housing within 8 months.

Shayan stressed that the Bank Maskan of Iran issued loans worth 70 billion rials (about $1.66 million) for the construction of housing in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 22 through November 20).

“Furthermore, the bank issued 2.4 trillion rials (about $57.1 million) worth of loans for the purchase of housing in the 8th month,” he said.
