Azerbaijani Bank BTB's total assets grow in 2020

Azerbaijani BTB Bank’s total assets increased by 4.3 percent in 2020 compared to 2019, Trend reports on Feb.5 referring to the bank’s balance sheet.

According to the sheet, in the reporting year, the bank’s total assets made up 356.14 million manat (over $209.5 million), which is by 14.6 million manat ($8.6 million) more than a year before. The main share in the structure of assets accounted for the loan portfolio (57.9 percent), the volume of which declined by 0.3 percent and stood at 206.1 million manat ($121.2 million).

Meanwhile, the share of fixed funds and intangible assets in the structure of total assets made up about 18.6 percent, amounting to 66.4 million manat ($39 million) and thus decreasing by 1.2 percent. The volume of deposits in banks and financial institutions grew by 67.1 percent over the year, reaching 21.6 million manat ($12.7 million).

Besides, Bank BTB issued loans to other banks and financial institutions in the amount of 20.1 million manat ($11.8 million), which is 21.1 percent less in annual terms.

In the structure of assets over 3 percent fell on correspondent accounts worth 11.76 million manat ($6.9 million), which grew by 19.6 percent in annual terms.

Over 2.9 percent of total assets fell on cash and its equivalents, which decreased by 4.8 percent to slightly more than 10.3 million manat ($6 million).

The volume of the bank’s investments in securities remained unchanged in 2020, amounting to 1 million manat ($590,000). Other financial assets made up a little over 3.8 million manat ($2.2 million), thus shrinking by 25 percent compared to 2019.
