Uzbekistan reveals regions with largest share of investments in fixed assets

The share of investments used in Uzbekistan in 2020 at the expense of the population in the structure of investments in fixed assets amounted to 8.9 percent, Trend reports referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

Thus, the largest share of investments at the expense of the population in the structure of investments in fixed assets falls on Khorezm and Andijan regions, amounted to 17.1 percent.

At the same time, the share of investments in fixed assets implemented by population of Bukhara and Namangan regions accounts for 14.2 and 13.3 percent, respectively.

In addition, the share of investments in fixed assets absorbed by population of Samarkand and Surkhandarya regions amounted to 12.9 percent. They are followed by Fergana region - 12.2 percent, Karakalpakstan Republic - 10.2 percent, Tashkent region - 9.4 percent, Kashkadarya region - 8.6 percent, Navoi region - 8.6 percent and Jizzakh region - 5.5 percent

Syrdarya region and Tashkent city account for the least share of investments in fixed assets implemented by population, amounting to 2.9 and 2.7 percent, respectively.

Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan used 202 trillion soums ($19.3 billion) of investments in fixed assets in 2020, which is 8.2 percent less than in 2019.

At the same time, the investments at the expense of the own funds of enterprises and the population amounted to about one third of the total volume.

According to the State Statistics Committee, the total volume of investments in 2020 was formed from centralized investment, including Water Supply and Sewerage Development Fund - two trillion soums ($191 million), Republican budget – 13.8 trillion soums ($1.3 billion), Fund for Reconstruction and Development – 1.9 trillion soums ($181 million) and foreign loans guaranteed by Uzbekistan – 22.5 trillion soums ($2.1 billion).
