Share of non-oil sector in Azerbaijan's GDP increases as of January 2021

The gross domestic product of Azerbaijan (GDP) decreased by 2.5 percent in January 2021 compared to January 2020, Trend reports with reference to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.

The volume of Azerbaijan's GDP amounted to 6.2 billion manat ($3.6 billion) for the reporting period, the ministry said.

In accordance with the statistics, value-added in the oil and gas sector of the economy decreased by 6.2 percent, while in the non-oil sector is increased by 0.1 percent in January 2021.

GDP per capita in January 2021 amounted to 625.6 manat ($368). GDP per capita decreased by five percent compared to January 2020.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy forecasts GDP growth in Azerbaijan for 2021 at 3.4 percent.
