In the short and medium-term, steps are outlined for intensive work in the direction of educating and informing citizens in the insurance market of Azerbaijan, Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association (AIA) Elmar Mirsalayev told Trend.
According to Mirsalayev, fundamental steps are being taken in this direction, both in the direction of establishing cooperation with structures closer to the use of insurance services and in terms of informing and providing entrepreneurs and citizens with access to insurance services.
The AIA executive director said that the association is currently cooperating with the Turkish Insurance Union, the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, the Center for Social Research, and the Accountants and Risk Professionals Association.
Within the framework of this cooperation, regular meetings are held on insurance education and fundamental advocacy, and in subsequent stages, another priority task for the department will be to establish interaction with other public and private organizations.
"I hope and predict that all our activities will yield positive results in the medium and long term," the AIA executive director emphasized.
"Citizens should not forget that insurance, like in all other countries, is one of the main engines of the economy," he said.
"Taking progressive steps in the insurance sector, we, to a certain extent, stimulate the development of the Azerbaijani economy," Mirsalayev added.
