Azerbaijan's GDP growth is projected at 2.8 percent in 2021 despite this indicator decreased by 4.3 percent last year, Trend reports on June 8 referring to the June report of the World Bank (WB) "Global Economic Prospects".
In accordance with the WB forecasts, the growth of the Azerbaijani economy will reach 3.9 percent in 2022, 3.4 percent in 2023.
South Caucasus will return to 3.6-percent-economic growth in 2021 and accelerate to 4.2 percent in 2022, which has been stipulated by the easing of the COVID-19 pandemic shocks, the report says.
In general, the World Bank expects the global economy to grow by 5.6 percent in 2021, which is a high rate of recovery after a recession over the past 80 years, mainly stimulated by an intensive recovery in economic activity in a number of big countries.
