Azerbaijan allocates funds for building 'smart village' in liberated Zangilan

As much as 10.8 million manat ($6.35 million) was allocated to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Agriculture for the design and construction of a ‘smart village’ in the Ikinji Aghaly settlement of Zangilan district, previously liberated from Armenian occupation, Trend reports citing the statement of the Ministry of Finance.

The given amount makes 3 percent (372.1 million manat or $218.8 million) of the total amount of funds allocated in the first half of 2021 for the restoration of the liberated territories, the statement reads.

According to the Finance Ministry, the allocated funds were used for the design, construction and reconstruction of highways, as well as railway lines and communications.

In total, for the entire 2020, the state budget of Azerbaijan provides for 2.2 billion manat ($1.29 billion) for the restoration of liberated lands.
