Azerbaijan has adopted a new state standard - AZS 903: 2021 (AZS IWA 29: 2019) entitled "Rules for the professional organization of farms", which also includes international requirements, Trend reports referring to the State Service for Antimonopoly Regulation and Control over the Consumer Market.
The standard was adopted in order to improve the activities of professional farms and ensure sustainable development in this area.
The draft standard, developed by the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University within the US Agency for International Development (USAID) project for the development of the private sector, was approved by the Azerbaijan Institute for Standardization and included in the State Standardization Fund.
This standard is intended to be used by all types of farms, regardless of the type of manufactured product.
