The profitability of state securities and interest rates on the interbank market decreased in Azerbaijan in 2021, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, in general, the profitability of state securities decreased by 2-5 percent, depending on the maturity and reached 4-7 percent by late 2021. At the same time, this indicator increased in late 2021.
The nominal interest rates on loans and deposits did not greatly increase in Azerbaijan in 2021.
The average interest rate on new loans in manat was 17 percent, the average interest rate on newly attracted deposits was 8.5 percent in November 2021.
