BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. A total of 21.8 million payments worth 658 million manat ($387.06 million) were made through the Apple Pay payment solution in Azerbaijan in 2022, Trend reports via the "Review of payment systems" of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The Apple Pay contactless payment solution was launched in Azerbaijan in November 2021.
To date, the Apple Pay function is available in banks such as Kapital Bank, International Bank of Azerbaijan, Unibank, Bank Respublika, PASHA Bank, Leobank, RabiteBank, XalqBank, PremiumBank, YeloBank and ExpressBank.
Last year, the volume of non-cash payments in Azerbaijan amounted to 58.56 billion manat ($34.45 billion), which is 21.1 billion manat ($12.4 billion) or 56.26 percent more than in 2021.
