BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. Local Iranian banks granted loans worth approximately 1.57 quadrillion rials (about $37.5 billion) in trade sector of the country for the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), Trend reports.
Data of Iran's Central Bank shows that the following loans were allocated in the trade sector:
- Working capital: 1.38 quadrillion rials (about $32.9 billion);
- Development work: 83.2 trillion rials (about $2 billion);
- Establishment of enterprises: 77.5 trillion rials (about $1.85 billion);
- Purchase of housing: 17 trillion rials ($405 million);
- Purchase of personal assets: 10.6 trillion rials ($253 million);
- Self-employment: 2.85 trillion rials (about $67.8 million);
- Repair work: 2.47 trillion rials ($58.9 million).
In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth 14.7 quadrillion rials (about $350 billion) in various economic sectors within the first 5 months of the current Iranian year.
