Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / Two documents were signed during the First International Conference on Material and Information Sciences in High Technologies in Baku on 28 September.
It was a memorandum on intensions between the Azerbaijani Communication and IT Ministry and New York-based applied physics Corporation. The document was signed by Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Communication and IT Minister, and Ivar Giaever, the Nobel laureate.
The second similar document was signed between the Communication and IT Ministry and the Nakayama the Japanese University Osaka.
According to Abbasov, the signed documents were directed on experimental production of new type of nanotechnology in the regional innovation zone of Azerbaijan by Japanese and American scientists.
The conference was held jointly by the Communication and IT Ministry and National Academy of Science of Azerbaijan.
The reporters from Russia, the US, Japan, Azerbaijan, Germany and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia delivered a speech at the conference.
