Baku will host the regional International Telecommunications Union (ITU) workshop, "Effective Tools for Estimating Social Information" on Dec. 14-16. The workshop will cover indicator systems to gauge ICT development levels and national systems for rendering e-government management services, the Communications and IT Ministry told Trend .
The event is held upon the initiative of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) economics and administrative, financial engineering and information and communications technology departments.
The seminar will be attended by state communications administration representatives from CIS countries and ITU representatives for the region.
Reports on the implementation of state information programs and strategies for developing the post-Soviet space into information societies will be presented at the workshop.
The meeting will also consider issues of cooperating with the ITU to implement RCC regional initiatives and regional workshops to introduce governmental e-services.
