State operator expands coverage zone of CDMA wireless network

Aztelekom PU of the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry has expanded coverage zone of wireless CDMA network, the ministry said.
The operator has completed the installation of a new base station in the Kurdamir region.
Communication services are rendered in settlements of Goychay and Barda regions and through the base stations in Agsu, Agdash and Agdam.
Telecommunication services are rendered in the territory of Geranboy region by base stations located in Mingachevir and Ganja.
Today, Aztelekom's network covers 63 percent of Azerbaijani settlements. Communication services on CDMA standard are rendered in 27 cities and districts of the republic. The subscriber base of the operator exceeds 18,000 people.
