An e-school system was put into trial operation in 10 secondary schools in Azerbaijan, the Education Ministry's Informatization Department reported.
The system was commissioned at the European High School and public schools No. 20, 6, 160, 8, 23 and 7, as well as the Zarifa Aliyeva High School.
All of the schools are connected to high-speed Internet.
School teachers have passed training courses and have started implementing the e-journal and e-resource program management.
The educational network is also available to the parents of students, who can receive information about their children's progress through the education portal www.edu.az.
The project was implemented under the state educational system informatization program in 2008-2012.
