Azerbaijan launches national service of user video content AzeriTube

Azerbaijani provider Delta Telecom has launched national service user video content AzeriTube.az in beta, Delta Telecom's Technical Director Rahid Alakbarli told Trend.

According to him, AzeriTube service provides the ability to view and share volume multimedia content and graphic files. Users can add, view videos, movies, photos, clips, amateur videos.

The company expects that the service will be actively used by the audience AzNET network and launch of the national AzeriTube will make Azerbaijan an active participant in the world market of user video content.

At present, the amount of the content available on the portal is not so big and so far service is launched in test mode.

"AzeriTube is not responsible for the content that is distributed by the user, and under current conditions, the responsibility lies on the user. Nevertheless, the issue that what kind of content, and by whom will be placed on this resource will certainly be regulated by the laws of the country, that are also in the interests of the Delta Telecom company. In fact, all the content will be analysed before it becomes available," Alakbarli said.

The Azerbaijani television and radio channels also are relayed through AzeriTube. At present, in online regime it is possible to watch the TV channels ITV and Lider TV. According to Alakbarli, in the future the number of channels, including regional ones, will increase.
