The number of Facebook users in Azerbaijan stands at 411,840 people as of Jan.-June, a report by Internet World Stats said.
The penetration rate of the social network in the republic is 4.9 percent.
Azerbaijan is ahead of Kazakhstan (293,040), Belarus (95,120), Kyrgyzstan (49,820), Tajikistan (20,260), Turkmenistan (13,000), Uzbekistan (82,900) and Armenia (180,100) in the number of Facebook users in the CIS.
The total number of Facebook users exceeds 700 million people.
Facebook began in February 2004. At present, services are available in 60 languages, including the Azerbaijani language.
