Azerbaijan’s payment system Goldenpay postponed the holding of an initial public offering (IPO) until 2020, founder of Goldenpay company and chairman of its Board of Directors Farid Ismayilzade told Trend on March 7.
Previously, the company reported that the possibility of holding IPO will be considered in 2018.
Ismayilzade said that this year the company's all resources will be directed to realization of new projects, including renewal of the payment portal hesab.az.
"It is possible that this issue can become relevant in 2019," Ismayilzade said.
Earlier, the company said that one of the issues being considered is to whether hold an IPO in Azerbaijan or outside the country. The company will inform about IPO four months before it starts.
Goldenpay was established in 2007. It is possible to pay for services via Goldenpay system by using Visa and MasterCard. The company also has its own online services portal, at hesab.az.
The portal allows one to make online payments for utilities, mobile and fixed communication services, Internet services, cable TV services, etc. Along with this, users are also able to pay for bank loans and online insurance.
