Azerbaijan to familiarize with legal regulation of 4G/5G network development

Azerbaijan's communications administration will review the legislative and regulatory conditions that stimulate the introduction and development of the 4G/5G networks and innovative services, a source in Azerbaijan’s telecommunications market told Trend.

The source noted that the topic will be presented during the "Regional Conference on Digital Future based on 4G/5G" of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), organized for the countries of Europe and the CIS and to be held May 14-16 in Kiev.

The conference is intended for representatives of ministries and departments, regulators, telecommunication operators, manufacturers of telecommunication equipment, software developers and other interested organizations.

In addition to issues of legislative regulation of the 4G/5G networks development, the issues of digital transformation of the economy, provision of cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT) market, intellectual transport systems, blockchain technology etc. will also be considered as part of the conference.

In Azerbaijan, 4G networks are deployed by all three mobile operators (Azercell, Bakcell and Azerfon).
