BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8

By Ilkin Seyfaddini – Trend:

The customer base of Beeline Uzbekistan, the only private GSM operator in the country, has significantly decreased, Trend reports citing the Uzbek media outlets.

In the period from January through March 2020, Beeline Uzbekistan's customer base decreased from 8.1 million to 7.7 million subscribers.

Such decline was caused by the outflow of customers with irregular mobile costs, the message said.

The total revenue of the operator decreased by 2.5 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to the same indicator last year to 521.5 billion soum ($54.6 million), including from mobile services - by three percent to 515 billion soum ($53.9 million).

In 2019, Beeline was listed to be among the top tax payers across the country, according to the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan.
