Signify implementing project to install LED lighting in Azerbaijan’s Baku

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 19

The first 33,000 devices are being produced as part of the implementation of the project on the installation of LED lighting in Azerbaijan’s Baku city by Signify company, Andrey Zakharkiv, Signify’s manager in Caucasus and Central Asia region, told Trend.

"A batch is planned to be supplied to Baku in September," Zakharkiv added.

"The schedule for lighting the rest part of Baku is under development," the commercial leader added. "We tentatively plan to deploy the entire project, including the management system, in 2021. It is possible to implement the agricultural projects in Azerbaijan in the future."

"The negotiations on the implementation of the agricultural projects are being held with the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration and we cannot disclose any details," Zakharkiv said.

Signify company is the world leader in lighting, formerly known as Philips Lighting. It is involved in lighting technologies for crop production for over 20 years. Over seven million LEDs were installed worldwide during this period.
