By Fidan Babayeva - Trend:

Azerbaijani Aztelecom LLC, operating under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, carries out work to meet the growing demand of subscribers for telecommunications services during the quarantine period, Trend reports citing the ministry.

According to the ministry, for this purpose, planned work has been carried out to expand the network and increase the available capacity in the Gazakh district. The network expansion process continues.

As a result, a stable telecommunication infrastructure is being formed on the territory of the district, and the use of the Internet is expanding.

The ministry also stressed that, given the appeals of the district population, the network capacity has been significantly expanded on the territory of the Teze Mehelle (‘New Street’) residential area.

"For the aim to provide citizens with high-quality multimedia services, a new automatic telephone station with a capacity of 1,024 lines has been installed," the ministry concluded.

To provide the country’s population with high-performance broadband services, it’s planned to expand network capacities in the districts.

Aztelekom LLC was established as a Production Union in August 1992. Aztelekom PU was registered by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Justice on April 17, 1996.

Aztelekom combines 57 local telecom enterprises (including Ganja Telecommunications Office), International Automatic Telephone Station (IATS), and Technical Unit of Cable Trunks (TUCT).

For the application of the customer-oriented business model and improving business processes, Aztelekom Production Union was restructured and rebranded to Aztelekom LLC in 2015.
