The Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan has presented a draft resolution on the massive financing of IT projects through a crowdfunding platform, Trend reports referring to the press service of Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications.
Within the framework of legal practice from January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2023, it is proposed to allow attracting additional sources of financing for information technology projects through crowdfunding.
The operator of the platform is determined by IT Park, and its funds will be used to create the platform, its technical support, and development.
It is assumed that the project will be financed through non-cash transfers in national currency.
IT-projects will be posted on the platform after registration and signing of an offer with the platform operator and donors. The placement of IT-projects will be paid.
The number of incentive funds for the platform operator will amount to five percent of the funds collected for the placed project and does not include the bank's commission.
When financing a project, the donor does not receive a share of the project, does not become a participant, co-author, or owner of the project, and does not receive income from it.
Discussion of the projects and amendments are accepted until October 15.
Earlier it was reported that it is planned to launch a Development Bank at InnoWeek 2020, which is expected to become a unique platform for finding potential investors and a major source of venture capital financing to launch a startup with crowdfunding opportunities.
