Turkmenistan is taking measures to modernize the material and technical base and update the software of Altyn Asyr mobile operator, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
In the field of communications, large-scale work is being carried out on the transition to a digital system, including upgrading the material and technical base, purchasing modern equipment and equipment to provide high-quality services to the population.
Currently, the number of users of Altyn Asyr is constantly growing. Through digital technologies, customers are offered various services, including payments and others.
The Türkmenaragatnaşyk agency (Turkmen Communications) opened an international tender for the expansion of automated payment (billing) services via Altyn Asyr was announced and the winner was determined.
As reported, Turkmenistan reduced tariffs for use of the Internet traffic on ADSL technology and unlimited Internet through ADSL, VDSL, and hire a dedicated info channel.
Reduced tariffs are provided separately for the population of cities, for the rural population in districts, for state-owned enterprises and organizations, private entrepreneurs, non-state legal entities without foreign investors (business companies, individual enterprises, etc.), and for scientific and educational institutions of Turkmenistan.
On average, prices are reduced from 22 to 52 percent, the report said.
Internet services in Turkmenistan are provided by Turkmentelecom and AGTS.
Currently, the sphere of communications and telecommunications is rapidly becoming one of the most promising and dynamically developing sectors of the national economy.
Thus, the decree of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved seven priority areas for the development of domestic science, including communications, especially in the field of development of modern communication technologies and production automation.
