BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 5. The average download speeds for Azerbaijan's mobile and broadband Internet access were 33.8 Mbps (0.44 percent less than the previous month) and 26.18 Mbps (a decrease of 0.65 percent), respectively, in October 2022, Trend reports citing Ookla.

Azerbaijan has made its way up to 61st from 59th by data transfer rate on broadband internet access.

In the reporting month, the mobile data download rate decreased by 0.15 Mbps compared to the previous month. The outgoing mobile internet speed was 10.06 Mbps, down by 1.6 percent against September 2022 (10.22 Mbps).

The data download speed for fixed broadband Internet access decreased by 0.17 Mbps compared to September 2022, whereas the outgoing speed was 27.42 Mbps (a decrease of 0.1 Mbps compared to the previous month).

During this period, the average speed of incoming and outgoing downloads worldwide through the mobile network totaled 33.43 and 9.05 Mbps, respectively.

According to Ookla, in October 2022, Azerbaijan ranked 59th among 141 countries in mobile data download speed and 117th among 180 countries in broadband internet data transfer rate.
