Sanyo DMX-CG65 Xacti 2.0 Shoves a Camcorder in Your Pocket

( Mobilemag) - Can't decide if you want to get a camera or a camcorder? Why not get the best of both worlds and consider the latest addition to the Sanyo Xacti line, the DMX-CG65. Also known as the Xacti 2.0 (this is the second generation), this handy video recorder supports H.264 and can record VGA video at 30fps. When you up the ante to that resolution and that framerate, the resulting movie is about three megabytes per second.

In terms of stills, you get a 6 megapixel CCD sensor, as well as 5x optical zoom, 18MB internal memory, SDHC memory card slot, and a 2.5-inch preview screen that swivels out when needed. Battery life is far from phenomenal -- 70 minutes of video, 200 minutes of playback, or 155 snapshots -- but you can plug it into a USB port to get juiced up.
