Azerbaijan, Baku / / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The Azerbaijani State Statistic Committee reported that the number of computer users in Azerbaijan by the beginning of 2007 were 1.43mln; some 932,009 were men and 498,000 women.
During the last three months of 2006, 49.1% were daily users, 38.9% were weekly and only 7% were monthly users. The number of computer users at home increased. Some 33.5% of users had access to computers at home, 28.9% at work, and 17.6% at University.
Of the users, 53.2% are 16-24 years old, with 9.1% are secondary-school graduates and 52.4% are university-education.
The total number of computers in the country totals 261,004.
