Volume of essential products available in Iranian ports announced

In total, 4.52 million tons of essential products were available in 12 ports of Iran, Deputy Chairman of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) Farhad Montaser Koohsari said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

Koohsari noted that these ports are Amirabad, Noshahr, Anzali, Imam Khomeini, Shahid Rajaee, Bushehr, Chabahar, Astara, Fereidoonkenar, Bandar Lengeh, Shahid Bahonar, and Khorramshahr. The essential products are mainly wheat, barley, corn, soy, rice, sugar, crude oil and oilseeds.

“So, 313,000 tons of essential products were available in Amirabad port, 176,000 tons in Noshahr port, 73,500 tons in Anzali port, 3.29 million tons in Imam Khomeini port, 441,000 tons in Shahid Rajaee Port, 53,000 tons in Bushehr port, 144,000 tons in Chabahar port, 18,000 tons in Astara port, 69,600 tons in Fereidoonkenar port, 70 tons in Bandar Lengeh port, 123 tons in Shahid Bahonar port and 584 tons in Khorramshahr port,” he added.

The deputy chairman emphasized that 18 ships with 417,000 tons of cargo have been in ports. As well as, 26 ships with 1.12 million tons of cargo were waiting to be unloaded at the port.
