The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) decreased by 33.9 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2021), compared to the 6th month (August 23 through September 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 97,400 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the seventh month. Of this, 33,200 tons were loaded and 64,200 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 31,400 tons of cargo were exported and 64,100 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 1,690 tons of cargo were loaded and 73 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as, 114 tons of cargo were loaded 28 tons were unloaded for other purposes in the seventh month, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 50,900 tons of essential products, 173 tons of metal products, 14,100 tons of construction and mining materials, 882 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 7th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 9,040 tons of chemicals, 17,600 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 8 tons of small and assorted goods, 3,820 tons of container products and 876 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

As reported, about 12 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the seventh month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.6 million tons were loaded and 6.36 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 12.5 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
