Loading/unloading activity at Iran's Anzali port soars

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port of the Gilan Province (northern Iran) increased by 30 percent in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2022), compared to the 10th month (December 22, 2021 through January 20, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 113,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 11th month. Of this figure, 31,300 tons were loaded and 81,300 tons were unloaded.

In addition, 29,600 tons of cargo were exported and 80,700 tons were imported through the Anzali port over the reporting month.

Also, 1,740 tons of cargo were loaded and 125 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as, 459 tons of cargo were unloaded for other purposes in the 11th month, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, 60,800 tons of essential products, 9,720 tons of metal products, 5,740 tons of construction and mining materials, 955 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Anzali port in the 11th month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 7,630 tons of chemicals, 23,200 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 11 tons of small and assorted goods, 4,350 tons of container products, and 163 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.

About 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.11 million tons were loaded and 6.49 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 14.3 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
