The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) increased by 17.7 percent in the 11th month of the current Iranian year (January 21 through February 19, 2022), compared to the 10th month (December 22, 2021 through January 20, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 210,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 87,600 tons were loaded and about 122,000 tons were unloaded.
In addition, about 75,700 tons of cargo were exported and 112,000 tons were imported through the Amirabad port in the 11th month.
Within the 11th month, 11,900 tons of cargo were loaded and 9,470 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.
According to the statistics, 91 tons of cargo were loaded and 289 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes during the 11th month.
"About, 101,000 tons of essential products, 12,400 tons of metal products, 71,700 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,580 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port in the 11th month of the current Iranian year," the statistics said.
Moreover, 6,610 tons of chemicals, 532 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 411 tons of container products, 14,800 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month.
About 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 11th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.11 million tons were loaded and 6.49 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 14.3 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
