BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 17. The Swiss Stadler Rail company, a manufacturer of railway rolling stock, will be ready to supply additional trains to Azerbaijan if Azerbaijan Railways CJSC announces a new tender or places an order, the company’s press service told Trend.
According to the press service, under the above conditions, the company will be also ready to consider its participation in such a tender, as well as to provide service and signaling solutions.
In 2019, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Stadler signed a contract for the supply of the first 10 FLIRT [Fast Light Intercity and Regional Train] single-deck trains, of which four trains are designed as inter-regional diesel-electric trains, three electric trains - as inter-regional and three as regional ones.
These trains are expected to be delivered to Azerbaijan in 2023-2024.
