Kazakhstan and Ukraine have agreed to cooperate in many sectors of economy, including fuel and energy complex, transport and agriculture, Novosti-Kazakhstan quoted Kazakh First Deputy Prime Minister Serik Ahmetov as saying.
"We have agreed to cooperate in a number of areas. The agenda of today's meeting was extensive and included a wide range of issues of Kazakh-Ukrainian cooperation, including cooperation in fuel and energy complex, transport, industry, agriculture, science, technology, investment, space, aviation and other spheres," Ahmetov told journalists on Tuesday after the tenth session of the joint Ukrainian-Kazakh intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
Within the commission the parties signed several documents. In particular, Kazakh Government and Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers signed the Protocol on the amendments to the agreement on cooperation in the field of government communication dated October 14, 1997 and the Environment Ministries of the two countries signed an agreement on cooperation in environmental protection. Moreover, the parties signed the protocol of the tenth session of the joint Kazakh-Ukrainian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.
