New Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and Commander in Chief of the Interior Ministry troops of Kazakhstan have been appointed, official website of the president reported.
By the president's order Saken Zhasuzakov has been dismissed from his previous post and appointed as First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. By another order, Ruslan Zhaksylykov has been dismissed and appointed as Chief of the Interior Ministry troops of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Saken Zhasuzakov earlier served as Chief of Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
