Askar Rzahanov has been appointed as Ozenmunaigas director general, Aktau's weekly publication Lada reported on Wednesday.

'According to a decision of the board of directors, Askar Rzahanov has been appointed as director General', the information said.

Askar Rzahanov was born on September 1, 1961 in the village of Shevchenskoe in the Mangistau region.

He graduated from the Lenin Kazakh Polytechnic Institute faculty on machinery and equipment covering the oil and gas fields. In 2001 he graduated from the Central Asian University legal faculty.

1978-1979 he was an apprentice machinist in the Mangyshlakrybholodflot department
1984-1986 - motorman at the Mangistau drilling unit.
1986-1987 - secretary of the Komsomol committee at the Mangistau drilling unit
1987-1991 - first secretary of the Munay regional committee of the Mangistau region.

1991-1993 - chairman of the Committee on Youth Affairs in the Mangistau region.

1993-1995 - deputy chairman of the Mangistau regional department of Youth, Tourism and Sport.

1995-1997 - deputy chairman of the Mangistau committee on pricing and anti-monopoly policy.

1997-2002 - head of the Mangistau regional department on information and public consent.

2002-2008 - head of the internal department of the Mangistau region.

2009 became the first deputy chairman of the people's Nur-Otan Democratic Party.

2009-2012 - deputy director general on social and administrative issues at Mangistaumunaigas.

Since September 2012, deputy director general for social affairs at Ozenmunaigas.
