BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 25. The prices for socially significant food products remained unchanged over the past week in Kazakhstan, but experienced a year-on-year increase of 9.3 percent, Trend reports.
According to the country's Bureau of National Statistics, the list of essential food items includes the cost fluctuations of 19 products.
This monitoring of prices is conducted on a weekly basis, with data collection taking place in all regional centers, cities of republican significance, and the capital. Various types of trade outlets, including hypermarkets, supermarkets, stores, communal markets, social stores, and pavilions, are selected for price observations, ensuring a wide range of products across different parts of populated areas.
As of June 20, 2023, the average prices of some socially significant products in Kazakhstan are as follows:
Buckwheat: 365 Kazakh tenge/kg ($0.82/kg)
Chicken meat: 1,223 tenge/kg ($2.74/kg)
Carrots: 184 tenge/kg ($0.41/kg)
