Kazakhstan allocates $220M for rural development

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 29. An amount of 100 billion tenge ($220.7 million) has been allocated for the year 2023 within the "Auyl Amanaty" project in Kazakhstan, aimed at increasing the income of the rural population, Alikhan Smailov, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, said during the Republican forum organized by the Amanat political party, Trend reports.

The project includes the provision of microcredits and aims to reach over 1 million rural residents within 7 years. In total, 1 trillion tenge ($2.2 billion) will be allocated for this purpose.

Smailov also highlighted that approximately 300 projects, with a total value of 536 billion tenge ($1.1 billion), are currently being implemented in the agro-industrial sector of Kazakhstan.

The amount of soft loans for spring-field and harvesting work has amounted to 140 billion tenge ($309.1 million), while the financing support for agricultural machinery has reached 145 billion tenge ($320.1 million).

Furthermore, there has been an allocation of 419,000 tons of diesel fuel for sowing operations, along with 400,000 tons of discounted diesel fuel specifically designated for crop harvesting.
