ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 31. Italian Eni has increased gas production in Kazakhstan, Trend reports.
According to Eni production results for the third quarter and nine months of 2023, in the third quarter, gas production in Kazakhstan amounted to 222 mmcf/d (million standard cubic feet per day).
This figure exceeds the corresponding period in 2022, when production was 148 mmcf/d, by 74 mmcf/d.
At the same time, production in the third quarter decreased compared to the second quarter of 2023 (253 mmcf/d).
In addition, production for 9 months of 2023 amounted to 242 mmcf/d. For the corresponding period in 2022, Eni’s production of natural gas in Kazakhstan was at the level of 196 mmcf/d.
Overall, Eni's natural gas production was 4,590 mmcf/d in the third quarter of 2023 and 4,563 mmcf/d in the nine months of 2023. In the third quarter of 2022, this figure was 4,583 mmcf/d, and for 9 months of 2022 - 4,556 mmcf/d.
Gas production volume for 2022 amounted to 53.3 billion cubic meters, or 103.1 percent of the 2022 plan. Commercial gas production amounted to 27.8 billion cubic meters, or 94 percent of the plan.
Domestic consumption of commercial gas in Kazakhstan amounted to 19.3 billion cubic meters, or 107.2 percent of the 2022 plan, exports - 4.6 billion cubic meters, or 85.1 percent of the plan.
The volume of liquefied petroleum gas production (supplied to the domestic market) amounted to 2.8 million tons, or 98 percent of the plan.
