BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan amounted to $1.6 million, increasing by 2.37 times, compared to the same period in 2022 ($692,230), Trend reports with reference to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.
Trade with Kyrgyzstan accounted for 0.31 percent of Azerbaijani trade turnover with the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries in January 2023.
At the same time, the share of Kyrgyzstan in Azerbaijan's overall trade turnover reached 0.05 percent in January 2023.
Kyrgyzstan’s imports from Azerbaijan in the reporting period made up $1 million, increasing by 26.13 times over January 2022 ($38,730).
Meanwhile, exports from Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan in the previous month amounted to $631,000 which is a 3-percent decrease, compared to the same period of the last year ($653,530).
According to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the value of foreign trade turnover in Kyrgyzstan amounted to $11.8 billion in 2022, which is an increase of more than 40 percent over the preceding year ($8.3 billion).
The value of exports from Kyrgyzstan from January through December 2022 amounted to $2.1 billion, decreasing by 20 percent from 2021 ($2.7 billion).
The value of imports to the country in the same period made up $9.6 billion, which is a significant increase of 72 percent, compared to 2021 ($5.5 billion).
