BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 18. Foreign direct investment inflow into Kyrgyzstan from countries outside the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) totaled $296.853 million from January through June 2023, which is a 40 percent decrease compared to the same period the previous year, Trend reports.
Data from the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reveals that 69.2 percent of foreign direct investments to the country came from non-CIS countries.
China holds the largest share of investments in Kyrgyzstan, followed by the Netherlands, the UK, Türkiye, Switzerland, and the UAE.

The total inflow of foreign direct investments into Kyrgyzstan amounted to $429 million during the first half of 2023, which is a 31.7-percent decrease compared to the same period in 2022.
