DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, May 14. Entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan are financing the construction of a fittings manufacturing plant in the city of Guliston, in Tajikistan's Sughd region, Trend reports.
The Sughd region administration expects more than 300 jobs from the project. Multi-story buildings require fittings and metal construction materials, which the facility will make. The building takes place in the city's industrial zone.
Additionally, construction continues in Guliston for a plant producing electrical cables and polyethylene pipes. Over 30 types of electrical cables and polyethylene pipes of various shapes and sizes will be produced in the enterprise.
Construction at these two facilities is nearing completion, and assembly of imported production lines will commence in the coming days. In 2024, the opening of six new production facilities is planned in Guliston.
