DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 3. A new entity has been registered in Tajikistan’s Sugd free economic zone (FEZ), which will focus on the assembly or partial production of electric motorcycles and vehicles, Trend reports.
The FEZ administration has issued a certificate to China's Samandi Sughd LLC. The initial stages of the investment project involve importing fully or partially disassembled products, assembling them, and selling them on the local market to assess profitability and competitiveness compared to similar manufacturers and importers.
The third stage, planned for 2027, includes full assembly or partial production of electric motorcycles and vehicles, meeting processing criteria in the CIS.
The assembly and production will use modern equipment and machinery in specially designed workshops. Thirty local and international specialists will be hired and trained. If successful, the workforce is expected to grow annually, reaching 300 employees by the end of 2027.
The projected output upon full operation of the factory is 1,200 units per year. Currently, Samandi Sughd LLC is focused on completing documentation and preparatory work.
