Another attraction of Ashgabat was included in the Guinness World Records, which reflects all the special world achievements in various fields, including in the field of architecture and construction, the Turkmen Dovlet Khabarlary (TDH) reported.

The star of a legendary Turkmen ancestor Oguzhan on the top of the Ashgabat television tower was recognized as the biggest world star in the architecture and was put on the Guinness World Records, the report reads.

The new TV tower was opened prior to the 20th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. The TV tower was built on the ridge of the Kopet Dagh Mountains at the height of more than 1,000 meters above the sea level.

The eight-point Oguzhan Star decorates the TV tower. The shining of the star, which reflects the sunlight, is seen even in the desert Kara Kum, on the boundary of which Ashgabat is built.
The height of the tower is 211 meters. The main block of the complex consists of 31 floors, and it has a revolving restaurant on the 29th floor, which offers a vast panorama of the white-marble Turkmen capital and its environs. The Turkish company Polimeks performed the construction.
