BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 13. The volume of capital investments in Turkmenistan from all sources of financing for the development of the national economy in relation to GDP amounted to 16 percent from January through September 2022, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

This was stated by the Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Mukhammetgeldi Serdarov at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to him, the investment program in Turkmenistan has been implemented at the level of 56 percent. 42.7 percent of capital investments were directed to the construction of industrial complexes, and 57.3 percent were directed to the construction of social facilities.

Furthermore, he noted that as of October 1 of this year, the construction of 4 hospitals, 5 kindergartens, 6 educational institutions, 179.2 kilometers of engineering networks and facilities, 415.800 square meters of housing, 594.6 kilometers of communication systems has been completed as part of the implementation of the National Rural Program.

The meeting summed up the results of the government's work in the economic sphere for 9 months of 2022, assessed the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers, identified priority tasks for the social and economic development of Turkmenistan, and considered a number of other issues.
